There is a lot at stake for Samsung right now. The South Korean company has to do more to keep up with the competition. To this end, Samsung wants to take a radical step and dispense with its own power in the Galaxy S23 and S24 at the heart of the smartphones in order to come back stronger in the Galaxy S25.

Samsung Galaxy S23 and S24 expected without Exynos chip

Samsung has already announced that the company will 2025 a completely specially developed high-end processor i only want to build for Galaxy devices in order to be really competitive. The current Exynos processors just can’t keep up anymore and the difference in performance and efficiency is getting bigger every year. Nevertheless, Samsung is launching high-end smartphones such as the Galaxy S22 with the inferior processor on the market in Germany. This should be over (source: Naver).

According to this, the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 will only be equipped with Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm worldwide. The development department for processors from Samsung, on the other hand, should concentrate fully on the development of its own processor in order to really have it ready for the Galaxy S25 in 2025. For this purpose, a “joint task Force” was specially established. The biggest goal is that Samsung finally keep up with Qualcomm and Apple and can even outperform the competition.

What the current Samsung smartphones do:

Is this good or bad for Samsung?

This is probably the only way to avoid losing the connection completely. Samsung is trying to keep up with the Exynos processors, but that hasn’t been working for years. If you join forces now for two years to have a really competitive processor for 2025, that’s very good in any case. As a result, the Galaxy S23 and S24 are not getting worse for us in Germany, but rather better. Is currently the Qualcomm chip is noticeably superior to the Exynos chip. So it is a positive development for all sides. We can only hope that the result in 2025 will be really satisfactory.
