GS305EP, GS305EPP, GS308EP and GS308EPP Four Gigabit Ethernet Plus Switches from Netgear
With the models GS305EP, GS305EPP, GS308EP and GS308EPP Netgear adds to its Portfolio of Gigabit Ethernet Plus Switches. Support PoE and PoE+features with enhanced controllers per Port. The Switches are available now from € 80 (RRP).

It should be the IP camera, the Wi-Fi Access Point or the VoIP-telephony – more and more devices in the company use to supply power to an Ethernet connection. The US-American manufacturer Netgear now offers an All-in-One solution for the management of the networks, which also provides the power supply for these IP-based applications. The four new Gigabit Ethernet Plus Switches with PoE+ and enhanced functionality GS305EP, GS305EPP, GS308EP and GS308EPP support PoE and PoE+features with enhanced controllers per Port. In addition, they include administrative functions such as Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Quality of Service (QoS), or Port Mirroring, to optimize performance, and Troubleshooting of enterprise networks.
Ports
The GS305EP and the GS305EPP have a five-PoE – as well as four PoE+Ports. The power budget of the GS305EP is 63 watts, the GS305EPP delivers 120 watts. The GS308EP and the GS308EPP are with each of eight PoE – and PoE+Ports. With 123 watts of GS308EPP is the most powerful of the series and the GS308EP with 62 Watt is the weakest. In addition, the Switches allow for a total bandwidth of 10 Gbit/s (5-Port) and 16 Gbit/s (8-Port).
In addition, they contain in addition to the PoE+functionality further functions, such as advanced PoE controllers per Port to simplify management of connected devices and uninterruptible power supply.
Prices and availability
The four new Switches are now available from specialist retailers. The GS305EP it for 80 euros (RRP), for the GS305EPP the SRP is located at 110 Euro. The GS308EP costs 100 euros (RRP) and the GS308EPP fails with 130 Euro (RRP) to book.
