Google has been a Big Player in the market a very special relationship – there are competitors, but also inseparable business partners. Inseparable? In the future maybe not anymore. How business partners could be at the end of enemies, reveals a neat design.
In the Smartphone business, Apple and Google are in fierce competition, iPhone and Android Smartphones, vying for the favor of the customer. On the other hand, Google is still the default search engine on all Apple devices. Who searches the Web on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, the find at the end of the time, with Google.
Such a prominent position can Apple pay well, between 8 and 12 billion US-dollars Google is to pay annually to the iPhone-manufacturer – an insane amount. It must not be forgotten, for Google it is money well spent, because with the search engines advertising to Apple users in the industry deserved leader, a multiple of what you pay to Apple.
Apple’s search engine: the risk for Google on the iPhone
A business model that is currently under the scrutiny of the antitrust authorities. If it is very thick, should Apple and Google to tilt your agreement. Then you could, Yes, Apple would have to develop a quasi-own search engine, ultimately, on the Basis of the Siri-KI. For Google, this would be the death knell to the Apple platforms. As such Apple search engine could look like, shows us already now Parker Ortolani from Buzzfeed. He has made simple changes to thoughts and a Interface-Design.
As is the case with Google, the home page of “siri.com would be” simply and clearly, as usual, from the market leader from Mountain View, California. Search results would be listed in maps. Ortolani’s proposal is, in our opinion, somewhat “wasteful”, Google creates more visible on the page and saves valuable space.
Speaking of alternative search engines, why Ecosia is worth a look, we can tell in the Video:
Siri.com: Just a search engine? No …
Also, Apple would have already additional services, which would are available as Web-Services in Conjunction with the Siri-search engine for all Web users, not just Apple customers.
To mention here, Apple News, Apple Maps (maps of Germany) and a reasonable web interface for the iTunes and App Store would be. The latter would then, of course, primarily for Apple users to be relevant. We don’t know currently, whether it ever gets as far as, and Apple would be forced to bring such a proposal to actually implement. Possible but it’s and ortolani’s concept makes the unthinkable is already tangible.
