With the WAX615, Netgear is launching another WiFi6 dual-band access point on the market. The Insight Managed WiFi 6 AX3000 Dual-Band Multi-Gig PoE Access Point is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises.

The network solution manufacturer Netgear is supplementing its existing range of wireless access points with an Insight Managed WiFi 6 AX3000 dual-band Multi-Gig PoE Access Point. The WAX615 was developed for small and medium-sized companies and is based on the latest WiFi 6 Release 2 technology. According to the manufacturer, it should offer twice as high data throughput compared to WiFi 6 Release 1. In addition, the access point is backward compatible with all previous Insight Managed WiFi 5 and WiFi 6 access points of the manufacturer.
The access point should deliver a performance of 3 Gbit/ s in the dual band per band. Furthermore, the device offers seamless roaming, load balancing and multi-user access for an optimal WLAN experience in environments with high device and data density.
It also includes a free Insight subscription for centralized real-time setup, monitoring and control. No additional hardware is required for this. In addition, the WAX615 has a 2.5GbE Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) port for faster wired connections. The Netgear WAX615 is now available for 220 euros (RRP).
